In December 2019, my best friend, Natalie, challenged me to create a Kickstarter. At first, I had no idea what to make, and then in January 2020, I had the aha moment. That aha moment was to create a game to focus on careers and wealth building for youths – from that moment, “LEGACY!” was born.
I took my time speaking to the youth about card games they loved and why, and from that point, I began to create. Pen and paper were all it took for me to start to formulate the LEGACY! Card Game. Once the idea left my head and went on paper, I knew my best friend was right; I needed a Kickstarter.
When I launched my Kickstarter, I was scared that it would fail, and instead of failure, it was a success. The love and support shown to bring LEGACY! to life helped push me forward, and I will always be thankful for your support. I created the first black-owned card game focused on careers and wealth building because of your support and generosity.
